A.G.E. Interrupter is an advanced wrinkle treatment that fights the visible signs of aging caused by advanced glycation end-products (A.G.E.), a major factor of the natural aging process. This anti-aging cream is formulated with an unprecedented 30% concentration of proxylane™, 4% blueberry extract, and 0.2% phytosphingosine to improve the appearance of wrinkling and restore firmness caused by the glycation process.

HOW TO USE:

Once or twice daily, massage a thin, even layer onto the entire face, neck, and chest. If using in the morning, apply after a SkinCeuticals vitamin C antioxidant or any other serum(s) and before a SkinCeuticals sunscreen. If using with a retinol at night, apply after retinol application.

Glycation:

Glycation is a key factor of natural aging. During this multi-phase process, excess sugars bind to the structural proteins that are responsible for skin's smooth and supple appearance, such as collagen and elastin. When this occurs, damaging byproducts known as advanced glycation end-products (A.G.E.s) are formed. A.G.E.s cause collagen and elastin to become weak and brittle, leading to visible signs of aging including wrinkles, loss of firmness, and dullness.

Externally, visible signs of collagen glycation typically appear by age 35. Internally, however, glycated collagen may first be seen as early as age 21.

A.G.E. Interrupter Advanced goes beyond traditional anti-aging products, helping to correct existing signs of aging and defend against new and recurring damage caused by A.G.E. formation.

Clinical

After 12 weeks, A.G.E. Interrupter Advanced improved attributes associated with skin aging and glycation, including line and deep wrinkles in five facial zones.

Protocol: A 12-week, single-center, clinical study was conducted on 77 females with Fitzpatrick type I-VI, ages 35-75, and mild to moderate global wrinkles, fine lines, laxity, rough skin texture, uneven skin tone, and a dull complexion. A.G.E. Interrupter Advanced was used twice daily over face, neck, and chest in conjunction with a sunscreen for 12 weeks. Efficacy and tolerance evaluations were conducted at baseline, weeks 4, 8, and 12.
